Hello, world.
Writing a first post is very tricky. I’ve been sat here for almost twenty minutes, trying to figure out what tone my post should have. Because, in reality, the tone of this first post will set up the tone for my whole blog! Eek, that’s a scary prospect.
I suppose I should introduce myself, to get the ball rolling. My name’s Cassie, I’m seventeen, and I like Victorian things. Yes, you did read that correctly. We’re slightly more common than you might think, us weirdos. And before you ask, no, I’m not a goth. (Although my hair is currently dyed black due to a recent hair dye related incident. I suppose that’s what you get from buying dye from Tesco at three in the morning.)
I’m a writer, and I’m about 10k into writing my first novel! It’s currently being published (chapter by chapter) in a lovely student literary journal we have, called The Scribbler. Yay! I promise I’ll tell you all about it, but I’ll save that for another post, for I love my characters dearly (a mistake, I know!) and will ramble on about them forever.
I can’t be too specific with what this blog will contain, but I can promise you that it will contain a lot of writing, and a lot of nineteenth century nonsense. Expect woeful 4 a.m. posts about Conan Doyle’s The Empty House, or why I can’t be as pretty as Oscar Wilde. Expect silliness, and confusion and uncertainty. But expect a lot of fun, too.

Hi Cassie,
Welcome to the blogosphere! It’s great to meet a new Holmes blogger.
Amy
Thanks Amy! I shall try not to disappoint

Might I say I’m VERY VERY VERRRRRRY proud of you, dear? Because I am. Can’t wait to read what you’ll have for us to read here in the future!
You’re going to be famous one day and I’ll tell the world I’m your proud older sibling from across the pond. They’ll laugh most likely, but it won’t change the proud factor!
Oh goodness, what an amazing comment, m’dear! I’m so happy that you like my crazy drabble :’) Aww, you’re so kind. If I do become famous, I’ll send you lots of lovely books and pay for you to come over here for hugs. There’s lots more Sherlockian posts to come, so keep an eye out for those! *Hugs from England*
